Peptides, Bloodwork, Lifestyle and SupplementsFrom Adaptation to Transformation - Bobby Ambaum

How we test

No baseline, no protocol.

Blood before, blood after. This is how you find out whether a peptide earned its place, or just its price.

My numbers

My own lab report. Flags included.

You know your bench, your bank balance and your car's service history. What's your ferritin? Exactly. Here are mine, printed the way the lab printed them.

The shaded band is the lab's reference range. The dot is the value. The hollow ring on testosterone is my own goal for the next test, not a target for anyone else.

Before a protocol

The minimum panel before any peptide.

Baseline first. Retest at 8 to 12 weeks, then every 3 to 6 months. The retest is a smaller set: hormones, blood count, lipids, liver, kidney, HbA1c, and IGF-1 when a protocol touches the growth hormone axis.

Women's hormones need cycle-day timing and a different panel. That guide is on the waitlist.

Preparation

Prep, so the numbers mean something.

Time
Morning, before 10:00. Same time of day every test.
Food
Fasted, 8 to 12 hours.
Biotin
Stop biotin supplements 72 hours before. It interferes with several assays.
Lab
Same provider and same lab every time. Different labs, different ranges and methods.
Post
Posting tubes yourself? Same day, never on a Friday.
Where to test

Home tests, per market.

We don't order tests. You book and pay the provider directly, a nurse comes to you, and you forward the PDF. We only need the raw results. Prices as published on 11 October 2026; check before you book.

Flags

When a number is flagged.

If a number is flagged, a doctor sees it first. Nothing new starts until it's checked. If a provider calls you about a result, take the call and follow their advice.

If you can't read your own blood, you're guessing with a credit card.
